DJ Maphorisa, whose real name is Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The South African musician was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Thuli Phongolo.
Sources reveal that the incident occurred after Thuli confronted Maphorisa about an argument they had earlier in the evening at a gig they both attended.
The altercation apparently turned violent, and Thuli sustained injuries that required medical attention. The Randburg Magistrate court will be hearing the case today.
